We’re proud to offer a range of food from local Maine farms both packaged and in our pre-made menu items, take-out food & special order items. We also offer a variety of local beers, wines and spirits that you can take out or drink here at the store along with your meal. The WGS offers a small grocery area as well where you’ll find fresh veggies and fruits, your favorite packaged items and other yummy treats.

In addition to our food and drinks, we also pride ourselves on having a little bit of everything else you might need. From hardware and groceries to books by Maine authors, pet care items, ice cream, greeting cards, clothing, seasonal decorations, gardening supplies, locally made art, and hand crafted gifts and souvenirs – you’ll find it all here at The Washington General Store.
Community
Being a real, old fashioned Maine general store, the WGS is, above all, a community gathering space for our small town. Locals and visitors alike come here to catch up over a meal or a cup of coffee. We also have live music and other special events from time to time. In addition, The Washington General Store is grateful to be able to offer our support to community organizations including our school, library, and town projects.
