We’re proud to offer a range of food from local Maine farms both packaged and in our pre-made menu items, take-out food & special order items. We also offer a variety of local beers, wines and spirits that you can take out or drink here at the store along with your meal. The WGS offers a small grocery area as well where you’ll find fresh veggies and fruits, your favorite packaged items and much more.

At The WGS you’ll also find locally made art, books by Maine authors, along with jewelry, greeting cards, clothing and much more hand crafted by our talented midcoast, Maine community members.

Being a real, old fashioned Maine general store, the WGS is, above all, a community gathering space for our small town. Locals and visitors alike come here to catch up over a meal or a cup of coffee. We also have live music and other special events from time to time. In addition, The Washington General Store is grateful to be able to offer our support to community organizations including our school, library, and town projects.
